Evidence-based coaching is different from trend-based training. It's the commitment to applying what the science actually supports.

What "Evidence-Based" Actually Means

Evidence-based practice means grounding coaching decisions in current best available research, combined with clinical expertise and the individual client's goals.

The Problem With Trend-Based Training

Trend-based programs work briefly for one reason: they get people moving who weren't moving before. But they fail long-term.

What the Research Actually Says

For muscle growth:

  • Train each muscle group 2–3 times per week
  • Prioritize progressive overload over time
  • Consume sufficient protein (0.7–1g per pound of bodyweight)

For fat loss:

  • Create a modest caloric deficit (300–500 calories below maintenance)
  • Preserve muscle by continuing to strength train
